Poker has become globally famous lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years numerous types on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the croupier saying "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers are given five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s first card, you must in turn make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning wager, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes instantly to the house. After the bet is the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, including a figure on par with the initial wager. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The house pays out money equal to your bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
