Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the far east with the west in a great game for beginning level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the house, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers wager with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, starting players don’t have to be concerned about other, more knowledgeable players winning their $$$$.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, newcomers are able to take their time and strategize while not having to make hasty selections.

It is also simpler to bet on for a long time with basically a tiny bit of money after all, to not win, both of your hands needs to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the croupier is dealt seven cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the dealer’s.
