Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the wild west in a fantastic game for beginning level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler versus the house, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers wager with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, new players do not need to be concerned about any other, more advanced people taking their $$$$.

A further Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game pace, novices should be able to take their time and strategize while not having to make hasty choices.

It is also easier to gamble on for a long time with just a tiny amount of money seeing as, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the croupier gets seven cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
